Java Springboot Developer
Job Summary
Our client, a leading financial services provider, is seeking a Java Spring Boot Developer IV to join their team! This position is a 12-month contract opportunity located in Hopkins, Minnesota. This role is hybrid and requires onsite attendance 3+ days per week. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.
Core Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 production support tickets and application issues
- Investigate and correct data-related issues impacting business processes
- Design, develop, test, and deploy application enhancements and bug fixes
- Build and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and support teams
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and production deployments
- Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and services
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- 8+ years of experience with Java development
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture
- Full stack development experience with React
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
- Experience with Git and modern SDLC practices
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito
- Experience working in Agile environments
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies
- IBM Business Automation Workflow (IBM BAW) experience
- Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation
- Experience with PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry)
- Experience with SonarQube, Fortify, or WebInspect
- Experience with JSON and YAML configuration
- Experience supporting enterprise production applications

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $52.00 and $75.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
