JAVA Software Engineer with Power Platform

Work Authorization: All visa types considered except F1 OPT, L1, and H1B. Candidates must be physically located in Charlotte and able to work from the office.

About the Role

This project involves migrating applications from Microsoft Power Apps to an OpenStack-based environment. This is a backfill role requiring strong hands-on Java/Spring Boot and Angular development experience, along with familiarity with Power Platform technologies. Canvas Apps and Power Automate experience is required. Architecture experience is highly desired, and strong communication skills are critical. Note: There is no Power BI development involved in this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to moderately complex technical initiatives and deliverables.
• Participate in large-scale technical planning and strategy development.
• Design, develop, test, debug, document, enhance, upgrade, and deploy software solutions.
• Analyze and resolve moderately complex technical challenges through in-depth evaluation of technologies, tools, and procedures.
• Lead technical problem-resolution efforts while ensuring alignment with enterprise policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with peers, architects, product partners, and management to achieve technical and business objectives.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• SQL Server development experience
• Front-end development experience; Angular preferred, React also considered
• Power Apps development experience
• Experience with Canvas Apps and Power Automate
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Architecture/design experience is highly desirable
