About the role
We are seeking an Application Programmer responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications within Financial Crimes technology. This role involves designing, coding, testing, and documenting programs, as well as providing application support. The programmer will work with business partners to define system application requirements and contribute to the full development lifecycle of the capability being delivered.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, and document software applications.
- Collaborate with business partners to define requirements for system applications.
- Contribute to story refinement and estimate work necessary for delivery.
- Perform proof of concepts to mitigate risk and implement new ideas.
- Set up and automate the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Handle technical aspects of the application, including change management, maintenance, and platform upgrades.
- Analyze present-state systems and develop alternative future-state approaches.
- Communicate effectively with managers, peers, and business partners on deliverables and timelines.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited university; BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline.
- 10+ years of applicable experience, including database-intensive development, data migrations, and application performance tuning.
- Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and change management.

- J2EE frameworks (MVC, Spring, Hibernate)
- REST API, Angular
- MongoDB
- SQL scripting and data analysis

- CI/CD tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible)
- Autosys
- Data sourcing, data modeling, and data provisioning
Preferred Qualifications
- Business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Financial Crimes.
- Experience with ETL Tools, Hadoop, and Python.
