Java Full Stack Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a developer with strong object-oriented design and coding skills to solve problems at their root, understand the broader context, and develop pragmatic, flexible systems. You will build straightforward solutions, avoid over-engineering, and demonstrate expertise in data models and their appropriate use.

Responsibilities

• Design and code in Java or C++ with a focus on simplicity and scalability.
• Solve complex problems by understanding the broader context and root causes.
• Develop flexible, maintainable systems without over-engineering.
• Collaborate with diverse teams, including non-technical stakeholders.
• Automate repeatable tasks and create self-service tools where possible.
• Work with large-scale, complex information systems.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of overall development experience.
• Strong object-oriented design and coding skills in Java or C++.
• Experience with Java full stack development and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in AWS and cloud-based solutions.
• Ability to design simple solutions for complex problems.
• Comfortable working with large-scale data models.

Pay

$110,000–$160,000 a year.
