Java Developer l

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications and TIBCO integrations in a high-volume, low-latency environment.
• Troubleshoot real-time system issues and provide timely support.
• Participate in all stages of the SDLC, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Implement unit tests and automated tests to ensure code quality.
• Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and standard design patterns.
• Work with web services, REST APIs, and technologies like XML, JSON, and HTML.
• Use version control tools (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Ant, Maven, Gradle).
• Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and define business processes.
• Adhere to Agile methodologies and participate in team activities (e.g., sprints).
• Support software releases and contribute to continuous improvement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• 0-2 years of hands-on experience in Java development
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Knowledge of Java programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
• Familiarity with TIBCO systems or a strong willingness to learn
• Exposure to web services (REST, XML, JSON) and web technologies like HTML
• Experience with code versioning tools such as Git (academic or project work counts)
• Basic understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., sprints, daily stand-ups)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure (willingness to learn if no prior experience)
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging and troubleshooting
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow guidance from senior developers
• Eagerness to learn and grow with new technologies, tools, and best practices
