Java Developer

Location: Phoenix, AZ – onsite (only local candidates)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and relational databases, with experience working in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Integrate applications with databases and third-party services.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, QA, and DevOps.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high code quality.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Java application development.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.
• Experience with REST APIs and Microservices architecture.
• Experience with Kotlin.
• Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA and SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
