Java Developer

HMG America LLC is a Business Solutions focused Information Technology Company offering IT consulting and services, software and web development, staff augmentation, and other professional services. This role is for one of our direct clients.

Location: Atlanta/Alpharetta, GA (Onsite from day 1)
Duration: 6–12 months
The candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications using Java 8/11/17+
• Design and implement microservices with Spring Boot
• Build and consume RESTful APIs
• Work with SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL databases
• Utilize Hibernate/JPA for data persistence
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment

Requirements

• 8+ years of Java development experience
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Experience with RESTful API development
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and JUnit
• Experience with AWS or Azure is a plus
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka is preferred
• Strong Agile/Scrum experience
