About the Role
Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native healthcare imaging platforms on AWS, focusing on interoperability, DevOps, and AI-assisted engineering.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture and technical direction for healthcare imaging platforms leveraging AWS, Java (Quarkus), and DICOM/DICOMWeb standards.
- Define end-to-end architecture for cloud-native imaging solutions on AWS.
- Design and implement DICOM/DICOMWeb APIs (QIDO, WADO, STOW).
- Lead solutioning for imaging workflows, metadata, and interoperability.
- Evaluate and integrate AWS services including ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, IAM.
- Establish DevOps and engineering best practices.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot / Claude) to improve productivity and code quality.
- Strong experience in AWS architecture (ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, IAM).
- Expertise in Java + Quarkus / Spring Boot.
- Deep understanding of DICOM and DICOMWeb APIs.
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
- Hands-on with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience or exposure to AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Agile/Scrum experience.
- Focus on quality, performance, and security.

Qualifications
- Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
- Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.
Mandatory Skills
- 12+ years overall, 3-5 years in architecture roles.
- Own architecture and technical direction for healthcare imaging platforms leveraging AWS, Java (Quarkus), and DICOM/DICOMWeb standards.
- Define end-to-end architecture for cloud-native imaging solutions on AWS.
- Design and implement DICOM/DICOMWeb APIs (QIDO, WADO, STOW).
