About the role

We are seeking an experienced Java AWS Architect to design, develop, and lead the implementation of cloud-native, scalable, secure, and high-performance applications on AWS.

Requirements

• 15+ years of IT experience with strong expertise in Java/J2EE
• 5+ years of AWS solution architecture experience
• Bachelor of Computer Science

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Java/AWS – develop code and provide support as needed
• Define end-to-end application architecture using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, and SNS
• Lead API architecture, integration patterns, and microservice design for internal and external customers
• Drive cloud-native design decisions, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, Terraform, GitLab pipelines, and DevSecOps practices
• Ensure application security, authentication, authorization, encryption, and compliance requirements are implemented
• Review performance, reliability, observability, monitoring, logging, and cost optimization strategies on AWS
• Conduct architecture reviews, technical governance, and design approvals with AWS and business stakeholders
• Design scalable, highly available, and resilient solutions that support customer traffic growth and disaster recovery requirements
• Own non-functional requirements including scalability, availability, security, maintainability, and operational excellence
• Mentor developers and tech leads on architecture standards, coding practices, and cloud adoption
• Collaborate with customers, product owners, business teams, and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
