Java Architect - Onsite

About the role

Location: Charlotte, NC or Jersey City, NJ (either location acceptable). Duration: 1 Year contract.

Responsibilities

• 12+ years of hands‑on experience in Java technologies.
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and enterprise application development.
• Design and implement scalable microservices‑based architectures and distributed systems.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka, messaging platforms, and event‑driven integration patterns.
• Lead migration and upgrade initiatives involving Java, Spring Boot, Tomcat, frameworks, and third‑party dependencies.
• Automate development, testing, deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and operational processes.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Devin, MCP) to improve engineering productivity.
