About the role

We are seeking a Technical Lead with 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity. You will drive the design and delivery of high-performance backend systems while mentoring onshore and offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and maintainable backend systems, ensuring adherence to design principles
• Drive database architecture and optimization for performance and data integrity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement integration solutions, ensuring seamless data flow across systems
• Apply SRE principles to enhance system reliability, performance, and availability
• Utilize container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) to streamline deployment and orchestration
• Develop microservices and backend applications using Spring Boot, applying best practices and design patterns
• Design and implement high-performance RESTful APIs
• Guide the creation of responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (React)
• Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock) and enforce quality/security standards (Sonar, Fortify, Web Inspect)
• Produce comprehensive documentation for each microservice, detailing architecture, design decisions, and implementation guidelines
• Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Proactively identify and resolve bugs and performance issues
• Engage in database design and optimization for integration systems

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of Java development experience, with a strong focus on Spring Boot and backend architecture
• Expertise in cloud architectures (AWS certification preferred)
• Proficient with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proven track record in designing and implementing complex system integrations
• Strong background in test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
• Hands-on coding ability; must pass a coding assessment

Pay

$100,000 – $110,000 per year
