About the Role

We are seeking a Japanese Teacher for a one-to-one general language course in Omaha, United States. The student is at an elementary level, aged 35-44, and aims to improve their comfort in social settings such as shops and restaurants for an upcoming trip to Japan.

Total course hours: 52, with two-hour sessions held twice per week (any days except Wednesday, after 2:00 PM). The start date is as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customized, one-to-one Japanese language lessons tailored to the student’s goals.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit the student’s elementary proficiency and social-context needs.

Requirements

• Native Japanese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
• Valid work permit/visa for the United States.
• Live within 20 miles of Omaha, NE (68028).

Conditions

• Freelance, part-time position with a negotiable hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
• Schedule and location may be flexible depending on availability.
