Janitorial Worker

Full-time position in Operations reporting to the Operations Manager.

About the role

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Janitorial Worker to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, is dependable, and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and other assigned areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean floors and surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, counters, mirrors, and restroom fixtures.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
• Restock restroom, break room, and cleaning supplies.
• Clean windows, doors, glass, and other surfaces as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized break rooms and kitchen areas.
• Perform routine and deep-cleaning duties as assigned.
• Safely use cleaning products, supplies, and equipment.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or supply shortages to management.
• Keep cleaning supplies and equipment organized.
• Follow company safety procedures and cleaning standards.
• Complete assigned duties in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform other general cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and follow instructions.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to safely handle common cleaning products and equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ability to push and pull cleaning equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning duties.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Work Environment

Work may take place in offices, warehouse, and other company facilities. The position may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
