Full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm (occasional weekend).

Responsibilities
- Clean and care for assigned areas and equipment (dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming).
- Check grounds for litter, garbage, and unsafe conditions.
- Identify and report building and ground issues in need of repair or attention.
- Observe and adhere to all safe work and health policies and regulations.
- Lift and carry supplies, equipment, and deliveries weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Replace light bulbs and filters on air conditioners, furnaces, etc., as recommended.
- Set up rooms as requested (tables, chairs, microphones, chalkboards, etc.).
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
- Keep buildings and property clean, attractive, well-maintained, and energy efficient.
- Stock and maintain a cost-effective inventory of custodial, cleaning, paper, toiletries, lighting, and maintenance/repair supplies.
- Assist staff and volunteers with manual tasks as needed.
- Attend Buildings & Grounds meetings as necessary.
- Perform other duties as required by the Pastor.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Combination of education, training, and/or experience to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prior custodian/janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to work with minimal daily supervision.
- Knowledge of or experience working with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Proactive support of the Church and Parish purpose, goals, policies, and programs.
Physical Demands
- Spend 80–90% of work time standing, squatting, lifting, or kneeling, performing moderate physical activity both indoors and outdoors.
- Lift tools, equipment, or materials weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Use of ladders and climbing up to 30 feet high when necessary.
Work Environment
- Relate well, communicate professionally, and courteously with staff, volunteers, parishioners, and children.
- Maintain a neat appearance.
