About the role
Touchmark in the West Hills is Portland’s leading full-service retirement community, enriching the lives of residents and their families through five-star hospitality, services, and amenities. We are currently seeking a compassionate person to join our talented team as a Janitorial Technician.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all interior and exterior areas of our beautiful campus are attractive, clean, and well-maintained.
- Monitor the garbage and recycling areas on campus.
- Clean windows, remove cobwebs, and remove snow and/or ice.
- Maintain the swimming pool (chemicals, temperature, and cleanliness).
- Empty garbage receptacles.
- Perform a variety of custodial duties, including stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.
- Clean carpets.
- Sanitize kitchen and lavatory facilities.
- Assist with housekeeping duties as needed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience maintaining and cleaning swimming pools.
- A “can-do” attitude towards their work and a passion for maintaining a five-star site appearance.
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.
- The ability to lift and work with up to 50 pounds throughout a shift using proper lifting techniques.
Qualifications

- The ability to read, write, and speak English in order to effectively communicate with residents and team members.
- The physical ability to perform tasks that require continuous walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
- The ability to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members, and visitors.

Pay
$20.29 to $21.23 per hour DOE
Schedule
Full-time position. Tuesday through Saturday.
