Janitorial Supervisor (Supervisor)

About the role

Summit Building Services is looking for an Area Supervisor to join our janitorial team. This position services commercial buildings in Knoxville, Maryville, Cedar Bluff, Fountain City, and the surrounding areas. You would assist with coverage, training new employees, detail work, and supply orders.

This is a full-time position with 30-40 hours weekly, scheduled Monday through Saturday after 5pm on a varying weekly basis.

Responsibilities

• Work with employees to handle all client requests or complaints in a timely manner
• Supervise, train, motivate, and develop team members
• Work with HR to ensure all jobs are properly staffed and trained
• Arrange/perform coverage in the event of an employee absence
• Handle disciplinary action and/or termination of employees when necessary
• Perform regular inspections of buildings to ensure specifications are being met
• Correct deficiencies in buildings whenever necessary
• Complete work tickets and send reports to the Area Manager
• Recommend special project work when needed
• Complete ongoing education to gain competency in the position
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws

Pay

$19.50 hourly

Schedule

• Full-time, 30-40 hours per week
• Monday through Saturday, with schedules created weekly after 5pm
• 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, and weekends

This position reports to the Area Manager. There are 2 openings available.
