Job Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the janitorial department during the assigned shift.
- Plan, organize, and direct team members to ensure optimal satisfaction of students, faculty, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor janitorial staff and ensure their performance meets established standards.
- Cookordination with the account manager and assistant account manager to procure, restock, and manage janitorial supplies and inventory.
- Conduct inspections of lecture halls, event spaces, and other campus facilities before and after events.
- Maintain the budget for the janitorial department.
- Uphold and enforce the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
- Apply knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within the janitorial department.
- Establish and maintain the work schedule for the department.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of all janitorial equipment.
- Ensures all work is completed in accordance with UG2's Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
Requirements
- Prior experience managing a janitorial team within a large facility.
- Ability to anticipate needs, quickly shift goals and directions, and multitask.
- Proficiency in facility management systems.
- Extensive knowledge of janitorial processes and procedures.
- Experience in supervising janitorial teams of 15+ employees.
- Proficiency in budget management.
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to make sound decisions independently.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, guests, associates, and clientele, both within and outside the organization.
- Self-motivated with a high sense of responsibility.
- Proficiency in general software applications.
- Strong organizational, coordinating, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Strong knowledge of floor care.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate a large team.
- Demonstrates high attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
