About the role
The Porter provides excellent cleaning services, often requiring interaction with customers and prioritizing work based on daily needs. Work is performed in high‑volume, heavy‑traffic sites or as an individual crew member, with a focus on customer interaction, fulfilling requests, and meeting daily janitorial duties. The role requires a broad knowledge of cleaning and janitorial processes, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to lead and solve problems.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily janitorial duties and cleaning tasks in high‑traffic environments.
- Interact directly with customers, maintain excellent customer relations, and fulfill customer requests.
- Lead and provide solutions to various problems as they arise.
- Follow detailed or written instructions and safety procedures.
- Use KBSPresence mobile timekeeping software to record work hours, attendance, and complete required training.
- Other responsibilities as directed by the manager.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds.
- Walk throughout the facility frequently during the entire shift.
- Stand and walk for up to 10‑12 hours.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and chemical safety sheets (English; Spanish where required).
- Effective communication with internal and external customers.
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions.
- Download and use the KBSPresence app on a personal mobile device for clock‑in/out; cell‑phone reimbursement provided as required by law.
Pay
Hourly rate: $20.04 – $20.12 per hour (starting pay $20.04).
Schedule
Shift available: 6 pm start.
