Position Summary

The Porter provides excellent cleaning services, often requiring interaction with the client and prioritizing work according to their daily needs. This position requires working in high-traffic sites or as an individual team member on site, where daily interaction with the client and attention to related requests, within the scope of work, are critical. The Porter works directly with the client daily and maintains excellent client relationships while executing client requests and fulfilling daily cleaning tasks. The Porter has broad knowledge of cleaning and janitorial processes.

• Provide excellent cleaning services with strong client interaction and daily prioritization of work according to client needs
• Maintain excellent client relationships while executing client requests and daily cleaning tasks
• Apply broad knowledge of cleaning and janitorial processes
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Lead and provide solutions to various problems
• Perform other responsibilities as directed by the manager

Requirements

• Ability to lift and move containers up to 49 pounds
• Walk within and around the facility with high frequency throughout the shift
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10 to 12 hours
• Ability to carry out detailed or written instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and chemical safe handling sheets/documents (generally in English; may have them in Spanish when required by state)
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients
• Background check and drug test required

Schedule & Pay

• Starting salary: $20.94 per hour
• Shifts available: 6pm

KBS uses the KBSPresence mobile timekeeping software to accurately record employee work hours, manage attendance, complete required training, and distribute important job information. All non-exempt employees must download and use the KBSPresence app on their personal mobile devices to clock in and out of shifts and breaks. Reimbursement for cell phone use is offered in accordance with applicable local law to support the use of personal devices for work tasks.
