Janitorial Porter

About the role

The Porter provides excellent cleaning services, often requiring the need to interact with customers and prioritize work based on daily customer needs. This role requires work to be completed in high-volume and heavy-traffic sites, or as an onsite individual crew member, where successful daily customer interaction and fulfillment of related requests is key. The Porter works directly with the customer daily, maintains excellent customer relations, executes customer requests, and meets daily janitorial duties. The Porter has a broad knowledge of cleaning and janitorial processes and the ability to lead and provide solutions to various problems. Other responsibilities as directed by the manager.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent cleaning services in high-volume, heavy-traffic environments
• Interact with customers and prioritize work based on daily needs
• Maintain excellent customer relations and execute customer requests
• Perform daily janitorial duties and solve problems as they arise
• Follow detailed written and verbal instructions
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and chemical handling documents (available in English and Spanish where required)
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Use the KBSPresence mobile app for timekeeping, attendance, training, and employment-related information

Requirements

• Ability to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds
• Ability to walk frequently throughout the facility during the entire shift
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 10-12 hours
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must have a personal mobile device to use the KBSPresence app (cell phone reimbursement provided in accordance with local laws)

$16.90 per hour
