About the role

As a Janitorial Lead for Allied Universal Janitorial Services, you will supervise, train, and work alongside crew performing daily cleaning of mall common areas, including restrooms, food court, and other public areas.

Pay: $16.50 / hour

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train janitorial crew in daily cleaning tasks
• Work alongside team to clean mall common areas (restrooms, food court, public spaces)
• Operate machinery including high lifts, motorized tools, and vehicles
• Maintain HVAC/chiller systems and perform general maintenance tasks
• Climb ladders, walk rooftops, and perform physically demanding tasks
• Handle on-call duties 24/7 for site requests and incidents
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety standards
• Use cleaning chemicals and supplies effectively

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• Pass background investigation and drug screen (as required by position)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Attention to detail and reliability for repetitive tasks
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team
• Strong maintenance skills and computer proficiency
• Professional appearance and conduct
• Willingness to work hands-on alongside staff
• Ability to adapt to changing goals and directives
• Sound knowledge of OSHA and safety standards
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach overhead, and operate equipment frequently
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and variable shift hours
• Reliable transportation required
