JANITORIAL CUSTODIAN

About the Role

We are seeking both part-time and full-time second shift general custodians for our various local accounts in the Crawford County area. Hours and schedules can vary and there is flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform all cleaning duties using provided products, tools, and procedures, including:
  • Sweeping, mopping, polishing
  • Trash removal
  • Cleaning windows
  • Cleaning and moving furniture and equipment
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, including account keys
• Open and lock facilities, enable and disable security systems as required
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and team effort, including being in uniform, dependable, and on time
• Show respect and understanding for co-workers and customers
• Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) where required
• Communicate in English

Note: Other duties not listed may also be assigned.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience working as a janitor, custodian, or housekeeper for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus but not required
• Ability to be flexible, work at a fast pace, and multitask
• Ability to read cleaning instructions
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and their uses

Physical Demands

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead, and reaching forward
• Must be able to lift and/or carry 25 lbs
