Janitorial Crew Lead

Responsibilities

• Perform team tasks on site and ensure team tasks are fully executed on site.
• Interact with the client to provide professional and prompt customer service as needed.
• Provide direction and coordination of tasks for the assigned crew.
• Ensure crew members understand and know their responsibilities per each policy.
• Collaborate with the crew to ensure coordination and successful execution of daily operations and resolve deficiencies promptly.
• Assist the supervisor or area manager with new hires and training.
• Ensure team members have the information and tools to perform their work effectively; provide clarity and support team member success.
• May assist the supervisor or area manager with interviews and training.
• Motivate the crew; regularly interact with crew members to provide support and clarity and lead by example.

Requirements

• Preferred experience in cleaning operations and distribution center environments.
• 1‑3 years in a leadership/supervisory position.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling of chemicals documents (generally in English; may have them in Spanish when state requires).
• Ability to follow OSHA requirements, safety guidelines, and forklift instructions.
• Customer service oriented, friendly and positive attitude with ability to motivate team members and support customer requests in an orderly and timely manner.
• Must download and use the KBSPresence mobile timekeeping app on a personal device to clock in/out and breaks; reimbursement for personal cell phone use per applicable local legislation.

• Reading and interpreting safety, operational, and chemical handling documents.
• OSHA compliance and forklift operation.
• Customer service and team motivation.
• Leadership and training of crew members.
• Bilingual communication (English/Spanish) as needed.
• Proficiency with KBSPresence timekeeping app.

Pay

Starting pay: $17.00 per hour.

Schedule

Shifts: 6 days a week (weekends mandatory), 3:30 am – 8:30 am.
