Janitorial Crew Lead

About the role

As a Janitorial Crew Lead, you will perform site crew tasks, ensure tasks are fully executed, interact with clients to provide professional and prompt customer service, and provide direction and coordination for your assigned crew. You will collaborate with your team to ensure successful daily operations, assist with new hires and training, and motivate crew members by leading by example.

Responsibilities

• Perform site crew tasks and ensure full execution of duties.
• Interact with clients to provide professional and prompt customer service.
• Provide direction and task coordination for assigned crew members.
• Ensure crew members understand their responsibilities under company policies.
• Collaborate with the crew to resolve deficiencies in a timely manner.
• Assist Supervisor or Zone Manager with new hires, training, and interviews.
• Ensure team members have the tools and information needed to succeed.
• Motivate the crew and interact regularly to provide support and clarity.
• Follow OSHA requirements, safety guidelines, and forklift instructions.
• Use KBSPresence mobile timekeeping software for clocking in/out, attendance, and training.

Requirements

• Experience in janitorial operations and distribution center environments strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years in a Lead/Supervisory role.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and chemical handling documents (in English; Spanish where required).
• Customer service-oriented with a friendly and positive demeanor.
• Ability to motivate team members and support customer requests promptly.
• Must download and use the KBSPresence app on a personal mobile device for timekeeping and attendance (cell phone reimbursement provided per local laws).

Pay

Starting pay: $20.00 per hour.

Schedule

Shifts available: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
