Janitor Position Part-Time - Overnight

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleaning all auditoriums prior to opening for business
• Ensuring all lobby and hallway areas are properly cleaned prior to opening for business
• Ensuring all restrooms are clean and stocked prior to opening for business
• Ensuring the janitorial closet area is clean, organized and stocked with needed supplies
• Reporting any facility damage found to the General Manager
• Responsible for securing and reporting any found items to management
• Maintain building security in keeping doors secured and alarm set and disabled as required (if applicable)
• Ensure all non-public areas are secure including arming, disarming and general operation of the alarm system
• Abide by all federal and state laws with regards to breaks and/or meal periods
• Maintain knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older
• Interface effectively with co-workers, and exhibit sensitivity to the feelings of others
• Prior janitorial experience preferred
• Must be able to identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes of problems
• Must evaluate relevant information, recognize alternatives, reach conclusions based on evidence, and implement solutions
• Must take action beyond what is necessarily called for, and perform tasks with a minimal amount of supervision
• Must work under pressure and/or opposition
• Must have knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures
