Essential Job Functions
- Cleans, sweeps, dusts, mops, washes, vacuums, polishes, and waxes floors
- Cleans and restocks restrooms, kitchen areas, sidewalks, and windows
- Collects and disposes of trash from building and grounds
- Ensures checklist is up to date and recorded for assigned area
- Unlocks/locks (opens/closes) all doors at the beginning/end of each shift
- Handles various chemicals safely
- Performs unskilled maintenance work such as changing clocks, light bulbs, etc.
- Cleans company car
- Moves furniture and equipment
- Reports incidents and hazardous conditions to Supervisor
- Notifies Supervisor when housekeeping supplies need re-ordering
- Affords assistance training staff as needed
Qualifications
- 1-2 years’ experience and knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment preferred
- Ability to do strenuous work
- Understanding of the upkeep, care, and safe operation of motorized equipment used for cleaning
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Janitorial Certification preferred
