About the Role

This position is for a full-time Janitor/Groundskeeper to work at New Directions I/II, a 149-unit family affordable housing community in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums common areas
• Empties common area trash
• Maintains all parking areas
• Sweeps and blows all landings, power washes as needed
• Conducts routine property checks to ensure they are clean and well maintained
• Assists the Maintenance Technician as needed with repairs and common area cleaning

Requirements

• 1+ years of janitorial and/or groundkeeping experience, preferably in an apartment community setting
• Basic computer skills for training

Qualifications

EAH Housing conducts criminal background checks on all candidates who have received a conditional job offer. Once you have received such an offer, you will be required to submit and pass our criminal background requirements. EAH also verifies education and employment history. Certain roles may require fingerprinting due to legal requirements. If onsite housing is a requirement of the position, any household members over 18 years of age who will be living onsite with the candidate must also undergo a criminal background check and tenant screening.

Satisfactory completion of background check and fingerprinting requirements is a condition of employment with EAH.

Drug Testing

EAH Housing requires all candidates who have received a conditional job offer to submit to drug testing within 72 hours from acceptance of our job offer. EAH Housing does not test for marijuana/cannabis. Satisfactory completion of drug testing is a requirement of employment with EAH.

Pay

Salary range: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour; hiring range for new employees is generally $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, DOE. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate and the current salary level of individuals working at EAH in a similar role.
