JANITOR (FULL TIME)

About the role

SSC is hiring immediate full-time JANITOR positions at Mercy University located at 555 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, NY 10522. Additional openings are available at other locations within the school district.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and places furniture back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
• Sanitizes all surfaces.
• Fulfills the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and completes the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Prior floor care and carpet care experience is required.

Qualifications

Fixed Pay Rate: $18.37 per hour.
