About the role
The position involves performing general cleaning inside buildings, exterior grounds and walkways. Duties include cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors and stairs; restocking supplies in break rooms; dusting and cleaning office furniture; maintaining janitor closets; and emptying trash cans.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
- Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
- Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
- Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
- Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
- Cleaning windowsills and windows.
- Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
- Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
- Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
- General cleanliness of grounds.
- Other routine basic cleaning duties as assigned.
- Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor daily.
- Follow proper timekeeping protocol.
Qualifications
- Six months or more related experience.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift objects (trash bags) up to 50 pounds; ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 15 to 25 pounds; frequent bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head; walking in throughout the building and around area with great frequency; ability to climb stairways safely and without limitation; dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation); must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours; frequent walking, standing, stooping, reaching and bending for more than 4 hours at a time; repetitive movement for up to 4 hours at a time involving the shoulder, hands, knees, hips and back (both upper and lower).

Pay
Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time/Part-time schedule to be determined upon hire.
