Responsibilities
- Clean common areas of the manufacturing plant, such as breakrooms, restrooms, and conference rooms
- Ensure cleaning and maintenance supplies are stored neatly and according to safety practices
- Notify Maintenance Technicians and/or the Facility Manager of resupply orders that are needed
- Assist maintenance with general upkeep of the facility
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Facility Manager
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 - 3 months related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of safety practices for storing cleaning and maintenance supplies
- Mechanically inclined; ability to work with basic hand and power tools
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch
- Ability to add and subtract fractions
- Strong communication skills; asks for and offers help when needed
- Organized; completes work in a timely manner; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Problem-solver; gathers and analyzes information skillfully and generates suggestions for improving work
- Capable of working independently and as a member of a team; contributes to building a positive team spirit
- Observes and follows safety procedures
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Manufacturing environment – may cause exposure to heat, noise, vibration, odors, dust, or moving mechanical parts
- Medium to Heavy Work – requires the ability to exert up to 100 lbs. with team or mechanical assistance, requires the ability to individually exert up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 35 lbs. of force frequently, and/or exert up to 15 lbs. of force constantly to lift, move, push, or pull objects and materials
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel materials and equipment
