You will use a variety of cleaning equipment and chemicals, manage cleaning supplies, and notify management of major repairs needed. The Janitor II ensures compliance with safety regulations and contributes to a hygienic and safe environment for employees and visitors.

It specializes in innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems, offering end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications, and Intelligence (C4ISR) capabilities, including design, integration, test, certification, training, and logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to meet customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, shampoo rugs, wash walls and glass, remove rubbish, and vacuum areas to maintain cleanliness.
• Utilize power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and other cleaning equipment effectively.
• Follow procedures for the safe use of chemical cleaners and handle hazardous materials responsibly.
• Inspect and repair motorized cleaning equipment to ensure it is in working order.
• Track and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment needed for maintenance.
• Regularly inspect building operating systems and notify management of any necessary major repairs or improvements.
• Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in a related field. A higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment operation.
• Ability to complete scheduled, routine tasks quickly and efficiently without close supervision.
• Must be capable of climbing stairs, ladders, and working on a stationary ladder.
• Familiarity with the safe use of tools and cleaning products.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in custodial or janitorial services.
• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
• Familiarity with advanced cleaning equipment and safety procedures.
• Previous experience as a janitor.
• Experience working with hand and power tools.

Essential Functions

• Ability to work on-site.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the work shift.
• Manual dexterity to handle cleaning tools and equipment.
• Ability to work in potentially hazardous or loud environments.
• Ability to travel as required.

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
