Janitor

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain designated spaces both inside and outside of the facility on a daily basis, including the lobby, restrooms, offices, conference rooms, parking lot, and public areas.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, polish, shampoo carpets, wash windows, and empty trash daily.
• Maintain and stock supply rooms and bathrooms as needed.
• Perform light maintenance and repair.
• Check for potential safety issues or needed repairs daily and report them to the Facility Manager.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to operate equipment and machinery.
• Integrity and ability to work independently or as a team member.

Work Environment

Position is in a manufacturing environment which includes office areas. The manufacturing floor is level; the office area is two stories with stairs.

Physical Demands

• Requires walking, sitting, standing, bending, and stooping.
• May use ladders and machinery such as buffing machines, floor cleaners, and vacuum cleaners.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Pay

$20.00–$23.00 per hour.
