Responsibilities

• General cleaning of restrooms and all fixtures
• Cleaning of lunchrooms, office areas, shop areas and outside grounds
• Dusting, use of cleaning chemicals, wet and dry mops, vacuum cleaners, floor scrubber, emptying of trash containers and transporting trash and waste to disposal area
• Carpet cleaning and stripping, scrubbing, and waxing of floors, aisle ways and other work areas
• Washing windows, door panels, and sills
• Maintaining cleaning materials inventory
• Replenishing bathroom supplies
• Reporting spills and leaks immediately
• Proactively supporting and complying with Safety & Environmental Management Systems requirements
• Supporting safety & environmental initiatives; walk‑through audits, training, communications, and incident investigations
• Willing and able to use proper safety equipment and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Occasional painting throughout the facility
• Working over the Holiday shutdown and a rotational weekend duty coverage
• Changing light bulbs where reachable with only a ladder

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (copy may be required if verification cannot be obtained)
• Limited cleaning experience needed, with the desire to learn and do
• Experience in industrial cleaning is highly preferred
• Must be trained or willing to be trained in handling and clean‑up of blood‑borne pathogens (janitorial personnel are first responders for blood cleanup)
• Ability to work with computers, chemicals, sealants, paints, and cleaners on a regular basis
• Able to work all shifts
• Post‑offer drug test and physical required
