About the role

Fortis Native Group is seeking Custodians. This position is fully onsite and supporting the Del Rio Customs Border Patrol. The Custodian will report to the Project Manager. Fortis Native Group is an E-Verify employer. Applicants must receive favorable background and drug screen results and meet eligibility requirements for access to government computer systems and/or facilities. Drug screens follow Federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors
• Removing chips, trash, and other refuse
• Dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures
• Polishing metal fixtures or trimmings
• Cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms
• Disinfecting high‑touch areas (doorknobs, light switch covers, desktops, etc.)

Qualifications

• Good communication skills
• Must pass agency and federal background checks, drug screen, and confirmation of authorization to work in the US
• The role is physically demanding; requires the ability to move, carry, and store various items and to clean, dust, and wipe rooms full of furniture as well as floors and carpets
• Successful applicants must have the physical capacity to perform these tasks
• 1‑2 years of custodial experience

Pay

Base wage: $15.40 per hour.

Benefits

Health and Welfare contribution: $5.42 per hour (up to 40 hours per week), which can be taken as additional hourly pay, resulting in an effective total compensation of $20.82 per hour.
