Responsibilities
- Cleans facility offices and common areas, including kitchen equipment, break room, coffee stations and facility restrooms.
- Vacuums carpets, cleans windows, mops, and waxes floors.
- Maintains supply levels in restrooms, coffee station and break room.
- Performs commercial maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry and electrical.
- Performs periodic cleaning and other sanitation tasks as scheduled.
- Picks up litter outside perimeter of building and near garbage dumpsters, discards trash and recyclables from offices, restrooms, and lunchroom into proper receptacles.
- Completes tasks thoroughly and accurately to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identifies, reports, and documents if and when there is a deviation from quality, legality, or food safety standards.
- Understands and follows established safety guidelines, programs, and procedures; and actively works to prevent safety incidents.
- Supports food safety, legality, and quality programs.
- Maintains product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures.
- Performs other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Evolution Fresh Mission & Values.
Requirements
- Ability to work variable shifts to support business needs.
- Ability to become bloodborne pathogens certified.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in elevated areas with ladders, roofs, lights.
- Basic math skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload.
- To work in accordance with safety, quality and sanitation standards, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School/GED or one to two years’ experience in related field or combination of both education and experience.
- Familiarity with British Retail Consortium (BRC), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards.
- Janitorial and sanitation experience.
- High school diploma/GED, US military service or equivalent.
