Janitor

About the role

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized facility by completing a variety of daily assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of the interior building with the ability to dust, vacuum, sweep and mop floors.
• Cleaning and stocking restrooms.
• Cleanup of spills with proper equipment and providing appropriate safety signs.
• Notify manager of repairs and supplies needed.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Operate and maintain floor scrubber.
• Maintain 6S in all areas of the facility.
• Advise supervisor of situations that may pose a significant risk to employee safety.
• Maintains safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Wears all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for assigned work area.
• Follows all: Company Policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety Management System policies and procedures, Sanitation procedures, Food Safety Management System policies and procedures to protect the Brand by providing extraordinary value through food safety and product quality, Safety policies and procedures.

• Proven working experience as a janitor.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Integrity and ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail.
• Self-motivated.
• Responsible.
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
