Keeps facility in a clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. The company operates with integrity and respect, taking pride in craftsmanship and building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, restrooms, lunch areas and other areas.
• Regularly sanitize common areas throughout the plant.
• Empties trash and garbage containers.
• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Cleans snow and debris from sidewalk.
• Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies
• Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally
• Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
• Attention to detail
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
• Physical demands: frequently required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Work environment: occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock; noise level usually moderate.
