About the role
The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with various challenges to live dignified and purposeful lives. We are seeking a Jan-Aid Crew Leader who embodies our mission and is passionate about making a difference in the community.
Responsibilities
- Train and supervise people with disabilities in janitorial cleaning skills
- Maintain assigned buildings to specified levels on task sheets by inspecting work to ensure quality
- Perform work tasks parallel with crew to serve as a role model
- Enforce safety, security, and other rules, regulations, and procedures at assigned worksites
- Report and document client progress to casemanager nightly
- Respond to customer concerns from inspections, surveys, and communication logs
- Perform all paperwork duties as assigned
- Perform electronic client payroll
- Perform electronic punch-in/out for attendance
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with customers and staff at assigned worksites
- Attend Jan-Aid cleaning in-services and scheduled meetings
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: One year in the cleaning industry and/or experience working with individuals with diverse disabilities
- Requirements: Attend and complete in-service trainings as required, acquire and maintain CPR, First Aid, Non-violent intervention Certifications, OIG-Rule 50 training, work a flexible schedule, have effective communication and interpersonal skills, have working knowledge of all assigned job site tasks, meet all time deadlines, have a valid Illinois driver’s license, have minimal liability on personal automobile insurance, demonstrate effective and written, oral communication skills, complete job requirements with minimal supervision
