About the Role

Food Runners may be utilized at Hard Rock Cafe during high business volume. In addition to delivering guests’ orders, they will assist servers in responding to the requests of our guests. The main responsibility of this position is to deliver food to guests in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to guests quickly and efficiently.
• Deliver condiments and drinks as needed (to include alcoholic beverages).
• Refill beverages as needed.
• Respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and polite manner.
• Promptly and professionally handle guest issues and communicate problems and concerns to management.
• Maintain a clean and organized server alley and expo area.
• Stock ice and glassware on the server line.
• Pre-buss tables.
• Clean and reset dirty tables.
• Sweep the floor.
• Assist and communicate clearly with the kitchen staff and front of the house staff.

• Remain calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere.
• Demonstrate a high level of organization, attention-to-detail, and a sense of urgency.
• Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests and co-workers.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move throughout the corporate office and cafes during visits (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
• Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hands above shoulders.
• Occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.
• Ability to travel via auto or airplane for long periods of time.

This Cafe may cross-train the Servers and the Bussers.
