Food Runner

About the role

Settlers Hospitality is a collection of hospitality brands that includes boutique hotels, diverse restaurants, distinctive event venues, and lifestyle offerings. Most are historic properties that have been painstakingly converted into upscale hotel space, blending modern amenities with historic touches to reflect the unique heritage of each property. We are looking for a hardworking and motivated individual to join our restaurant team as a Food Runner at glass wine bar kitchen in Ledges Hotel.

The Food Runner assists Servers with food and drink service, following established guidelines, procedures, and policies for food and beverage safety. You will interact with guests and staff in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
• Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
• Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
• Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies
• Runs food from kitchen to table
• Helps bus and set tables and performs side-work as needed
• Works alongside Servers for customer service
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma preferred
• One year of relevant experience in a restaurant setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
