IWG Central Regional Director
Position Overview
Apollo is seeking a highly motivated Regional Director to join the Central team. The Regional Director's primary responsibility is to drive fundraising results across Apollo’s suite of investment solutions, both perpetual and episodic, through the IWG Channel. The Regional Director will be accountable for developing and managing relationships with RIA’s and IBD’s across the market—regardless of firm AUM. This individual should be detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and team-centric environment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and energetic, possess a strong understanding of both capital and private markets, and have a proven track record of raising and retaining assets within the independent channel.
Qualifications & Experience
- Drive fundraising across Apollo’s perpetual and episodic product suite, focused on a specific territory of advisors/firms under their coverage. This role will focus on the Central region.
- Collaborate closely with internal partners across the firm to cultivate a deep understanding of the investment approach and results in order to represent all facets of the firm’s products internally and externally.
Professional Requirements & Personal Characteristics
- Strong understanding of sales cycle
- Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in financial services industry
- Prior experience working with institutional investors and financial advisors
- Prior knowledge/work experience in alternative investments required
- Strong organizational skills and work ethic
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form
- Must work effectively with other groups in the organization and collaborate as necessary
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential, sensitive information
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications/functions required including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of CRM, preferably Salesforce
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Series 7 and 63 licensed
- Demonstrates integrity, high-energy and motivation to succeed
Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $200k - $225k. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
