Ives Youth Group Care - Awake Overnight Counselor( 36 hours)

Description and Responsibilities

The Awake Overnight Counselor provides guidance and support during the overnight hours, assisting individuals with all morning routines. They help empower the youth served through a trauma-informed care approach, utilizing skills like compromising, negotiating, and problem-solving. Additionally, they help integrate the youth into the community both locally and in their hometowns.

• Aid in the development of independent living skills for youth served
• Ensure a supportive, nurturing, fun, and structured environment
• Must remain awake and alert for the entirety of the shift (overnight)
• Prepare meals according to menu and share meal times with youth
• Provide transportation as needed to and from various community activities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, required
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, required
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities

Schedule
