What We're Looking For

Lead and Inspire Excellence in Pharmacy Operations
Lead and inspire excellence in pharmacy operations. Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, coach, and develop pharmacy staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Minimum of 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
PharmD preferred.
Current Louisiana Pharmacist License required.
Demonstrated knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, clinical pharmacy practices, regulatory compliance, competency validation, staff scheduling, quality improvement, and departmental performance management.
Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and data analysis skills.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision and operation of an assigned pharmacy area.
  • Oversee departmental activities, staff development, workflow management, productivity, clinical operations, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and execute departmental goals, objectives, and operational initiatives.
  • Supervise daily pharmacy operations and adjust staffing resources based on workload and departmental needs.
  • Lead, mentor, and support pharmacy personnel through education, training, and competency validation.
  • Cook up daily workflow and ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with leadership, physicians, nursing, and other departments.
  • Assist with employee scheduling based on patient census, operational needs, and required skill sets.
  • Serve as a clinical and operational resource for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare team members.
  • Perform duties as a licensed pharmacist, including providing pharmaceutical care and ensuring medication safety practices.
  • Support employee performance management activities, including competency assessments, coaching, and developmental planning.
  • Work closely with pharmacy leadership and educators to identify and address staff educational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, accreditation standards, pharmacy laws, and organizational policies.
  • Promote a culture of patient safety, employee safety, quality improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
