About the role

The Senior Application Developer position within the Agency Services area of DTMB supports the development and maintenance of critical child welfare and state hospital information systems. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and implementing systems like MiSACWIS and CCWIS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and compliance with state and federal standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement computer systems and applications for Child Welfare and State Hospital systems.
• Evaluate new development tools and agency systems.
• Provide technical support to other team members.

Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management, or mathematics.
• Experience: Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, information assurance, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, IT project management, or mathematics, plus two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician.
• Four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, information technology technician, or eight thousand three hundred twenty hours (4,160 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant.
