Italian Language Instructor

Responsibilities

• Deliver 3-5 hours of daily instruction for ILR levels 0-3
• Become a certified language tester conducting 3-4 proficiency assessments weekly
• Instruct students in speaking Italian and understanding its culture
• Develop customized class materials and training aids
• Work under the guidance of senior trained instructors
• Stay informed on current events related to the Italian language
• Participate in sponsor training for language and testing certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in education, foreign language, or linguistics with 8-12 years of experience, or a Master's with 2-10 years
• Minimum of 2 years of direct teaching experience required
• Degree must be from the U.S. or a country where the language is natively spoken
• Proficient in MS Office and internet research
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Italian
