IT Vendor and Solutions Analyst

About the role

YES Prep needs a dynamic IT Vendor and Solutions Analyst with a robust set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. To put it simply, you will support stakeholders by coordinating a structured vetting process for technology tools by facilitating requirement gathering, vendor engagement, negotiation, and contract processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and coordination support during contract negotiations by partnering with Procurement and Legal teams;
• Assist with contract administration and vendor management activities, including processing contracts;
• Support the procurement of software and equipment, including issuing requisitions and purchase orders;
• Aid in the development of Request for Proposals to support the E-Rate process;
• Collaborate with the Technology Strategy department to research and recommend software solutions that align with district needs;
• Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements;
• Identify, analyze, and source qualified vendors and solution options that align with organizational needs and strategic priorities;
• Plan, coordinate, and lead vendor demonstrations, evaluations, and selection processes;
• Prepare basic financial analyses, including cost comparisons and summary findings, to support vendor evaluation and selection decisions;
• Facilitate and coordinate technical reviews of potential software products in collaboration with internal technical teams;
• Conduct post-implementation project evaluations, including documenting outcomes, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities;
• Perform ongoing product reviews to ensure solutions continue to meet stakeholder needs and to assess whether replacement or changes are required;
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
• 2-3 years of relevant professional experience
• Proven ability to manage projects and the ability to learn and utilize technical skills
• Evidence of producing great work products on quick timelines
• Strong ability to navigate web-related applications and technology
• Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
• Strong technical background and knowledge of the organization and technology providers
• 2-3 years of vendor and/or project management experience
• Teaching experience in K-12 or Higher Education
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and initiatives at once

Benefits

Compensation – This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.

Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option or a $24 monthly option that includes $50 YES Prep Paid Health Savings Account contribution, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc.

Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.

Retirement Plans – Participation in Teacher Retirement System of Texas and an optional 457b Retirement Plan.

Paid Time Off – Employees working 20+ hours a week receive 15 days of Paid Time Off in addition to the system closures during the Academic Calendar.
