IT - University of South Carolina - Network Engineer - Project Lead - Telephony
About the role
This position will provide operational and advanced telephony administration. The role is created due to an increased workload during a reorganization. The successful candidate will be a key project lead for telephony engineering tasks and will contribute to the stability and enhancement of enterprise communication systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational and advanced telephony administration, including responding to move, add, change, and disconnect requests for various communication services.
- Maintain accurate 911 location information.
- Provide advanced technical support for projects and serve as a lead for tasks required to maintain telephony network systems.
- Research, design, maintain, and implement improvements to the enterprise telephony network, including hardware configuration and installation.
- Develop and document standards, processes, and configurations, and perform quality assurance testing.
- Work with vendors for circuit provisioning and outage resolution.
- Analyze and evaluate vector routing, ARS routing tables, and route patterns to ensure efficient operation.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for technical work and provide engineer-level support for the enterprise telephony network and unified communications.
- Perform advanced maintenance and repair to telephony and unified communications systems.
- Monitor systems to increase proactive problem resolution and ensure maximum uptime, while adhering to all incident and change management processes.
Requirements
