IT Telematics Manager

Job Purpose

As a key member of the Digital Platforms and Innovation team, the Telematics IT Manager will have a leadership role responsible for day-to-day management of Herc’s digital telematics technologies. This role will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, evaluating, integrating, and updating various digital telematics componentry utilized at Herc.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4 to 8 years of experience in technology solutions related to construction equipment, fleet, telematics, or logistics preferred

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a polished and professional presence
• Strong project management skills
• Understanding of basic telecommunications
• Understanding of telematics OEM technologies including API management and ability to execute firmware upgrades
• Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Be an organized and self-motivated/independent worker with keen attention to detail and follow through
• Able to work with standard software business tools like MS Office (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word)
• General AWS/cloud architecture knowledge helpful
• Understanding of mobile apps and technology helpful
