Full-time position (1.0 FTE) within the Regional Services department at UnityPoint Health in Fort Dodge, IA.
About the role
We are seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist to join our Client Device Support team. In this role, you will support and resolve technology issues and project initiatives in the region, maintain strong working relationships with peers across all regions, and collaborate closely with Regional Service Managers, customers, and other IT team members to ensure excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Performs quarterly end-of-lease activities as assigned.
- Works on local and enterprise IT projects.
- Collaborates with Regional Service Managers, customers, and IT team members to ensure customer satisfaction needs are met in acceptable timeframes.
- Performs system upgrades, repairs, and maintenance on computer systems and peripherals.
- Installs, integrates, and configures new computer systems.
- Utilizes problem tracking systems and communicates needed changes to the system administrator.
- Works with other IT group members to ensure optimal application functionality.
- Interacts with customers, Regional Service Managers, and IT management to address hardware and software needs.
- Provides on-call coverage, including nights and weekends as scheduled, and may assume additional on-call responsibilities as directed.
- Maintains an understanding of the business environment and local affiliate needs.
- Monitors new technology developments to improve delivered products while maintaining standardization.
- Supports Corporate Unified Communications and Video Conferencing solutions.
- Completes special projects and monthly reports as assigned.
- Performs other duties to facilitate smooth and effective department operations.
Requirements
- Two-year degree in Computer Science or Programming, or equivalent education and work experience applicable to specific systems.
- Personal Computer experience.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience supporting desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Healthcare IT experience preferred.
- Networking experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
