About the role
The IT Technical Aid provides basic support services and assistance within a centralized IT organization. Responsibilities include identifying, tracking, documenting, researching, and resolving IT-related issues, supporting IT professionals with systems testing and production work, and assisting with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various IT devices.
Responsibilities
- Support systems customers and/or departmental staff for a variety of IT-related issues
- Escalate high priority issues as required
- Perform routine systems testing and production work, including validating user manuals, procedures, and other instructional materials
- Work on medium size office grade printers and high-speed commercial printers as needed
- Absorb and lift office supplies and equipment of up to twenty pounds
- Assist in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of information technology devices including personal computers, video display terminals, printers, cabling, and other hardware
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience in customer service
- Decision making skills
- Organizational awareness
- Problem-solving abilities
- Oral communication, speaking, and writing skills
- Experience in diagnosing scanner, printer, laptop, desktop, and tablet issues
- Experience using and setting up iPhones and MFA
- Knowledge of imaging and SCCM use
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Microsoft SurfaceBooks
Skills
- High school diploma
- A+ and Net + certification preferred
